The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) continues to call on eligible Haitians to submit their applications for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
As a reminder to eligible Haitians, applications must be submitted before July 20, 2010.
The USCIS reported that as of April 9, 2010 about 44,500 applications have been received, but about 5,000 of them have been returned to the applicants because of non-payment of the DHS filing fee, or the absence of a request for a waiver of the $ 470 filing fee, or the forms were incomplete or the forms were not signed.
